Valentina Fine Foods to open in Notting Hill
Family run delicatessen and restaurant has a new arrival to the family.
Valentina Fine Foods, an Italian owned and run group of delicatessens and restaurants, will be opening their fourth site in Notting Hill.
Located on Notting Hill High Gate, the delicatessen and restaurant will not only offer the family’s signature range of own label groceries, which features 22 types of antipasti; 8 different wheatgerm pastas; 18 olive oils and 10 jams & honeys, but also store cupboard essentials and a range of fresh food.
The delicatessen will have over 30 types of regional Italian cheese, as well as artisan charcuterie and a range of ready prepared foods from the restaurant kitchens to take home and serve.
A catering service will be offered, as well as home delivery within a 5 mile radius of the store. Customers will also be able to choose from a 200 strong regional Italian wine list, which is available for retail and restaurant purchase.
The 50 seat restaurant, located on the ground floor and stepped mezzanine, will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as offering Illy coffee and pastries throughout the day.
Like all Valentina branches, Notting Hill will offer a changing seasonal menu using ingredients from the delicatessen, freshly made pasta, tomato sauce and olive oil from the family’s own farm in Saint Elia Fiumirapido and hearty recipes that have been handed down through the family for generations.
New to the menu will be pizza using Nonna’s (the matriach of the family) own original recipe.
The Capricciosa for example, features cooked ham, field mushrooms, artichokes, and pitted black olives over the traditional San Marzano tomato, mozzarella fior di latte and basil base. Prices will range from £6.25 to £9.95.
