House of Fraser, Westfield uses Portobello Market slant for advertising

Market traders were suprised to see that high street giant "House of Fraser" pushed a advertising campaign out promoting a charity sample sale under the name of Portobello Market. Chris Bailey, the regeneration manager for the Westway Development Trust was quoted as saying " While this is an undoubted vote of confidence in the iconic market street, it might also suggest a nervousness about the success of Westfield". Riled traders are considering a counter attack of their own which would involve a advertising campaign at the new Wood Lane tube station urging visitors to visit the real Portobello Market only 2 tube stops away. The advertising is estimated to cost £ 20,000 and a campaign is already underway to help raise the money.
