Claudia Schiffer, both Supermodel and actress, was born in 1970 in Rheinberg, Germany, a small town just outside Dusseldorf. She was born to Gudrun Schiffer and her lawyer father Heinz Schiffer. She has two brothers, Stefan and Andreas, and one sister called Ann Carolin.
Schiffer is known to have appeared in over 500 magazines covers and is estimated by Forbes to be worth over £38 Million making her one, if not the most sucessful models of all time.
Her first appearance in film was in the children's movie Richie Rich in 1994 and then she starred in "Blackout" opposite Dennis Hopper and Matthew Modine. Soon after an appearance was made in "Friends & Lovers", "Black and White" in 1999, "In Pursuit and Life Without Dick" in 2001, and then "Love Actually" and "Zoolander" in a semi-cameo roles.
Claudia Schiffer is also well known for her exercise videos, appearing in music videos, presenting tv shows, part owning a chain of fashionable restaurants (Fashion Café) and award presenting (notably the World Cup with Pele in 2006, Germany).
in her private life, Schiffer became romantically involved with the well known magician David Copperfield. Their courtship continued for six years until 1999, when she reportedly fell for Tim Jefferies.
Later she met Matthew Vaughn who she subsequently married on 25 May 2002 at Schiffer's Elizabethan mansion. They have two children, a son Caspar Matthew and daughter Clementine de Vere Drummond. They all now live in London, Notting Hill. During spare time, Schiffer enjoys painting, playing tennis and skiing and horse riding.
